Drinking, Drugs, and Demonic Oppression

You are here: Home / Compassion Projects / Drinking, Drugs, and Demonic Oppression

A man passed out on the sidewalk as a result of drinking.

We often see the devastating impact of  alcohol in the families around us. It is common to see intoxicated men and even some women passed out on the roadsides and sidewalks. We have mourned with the family of a young man who died from alcohol-related health problems, stood in the place of a father who wasn’t able to be at his son’s elementary graduation because he died from over drinking earlier that year. Recently one of our friends visited us with her family and a brother who damaged his brain and lost his normal mental capacity after taking drugs. Please join us in praying for this teenager who needs deliverance from Satan’s oppression and restoration of his mind.  This is one reason that we feel that ministering to the young generation is so important — to keep these young men and women from falling into the temptations that are so accessible in this community–and, instead, connecting them with Christ.
